Description
The Piccolo XR Plus is a small-sized wireless remote terminal unit that operates as an integral part of the IRRInet system. Extending the capabilities of the basic unit, the Piccolo XR extended unit operates up to 8 latched outputs and may receive up to 12 digital inputs.
The Piccolo XR Interface Unit (PIU) is connected to the IRRInet Field Unit, and communicates with the Piccolo XR Plus unit via its internal two-way low-power radio.
Both the Piccolo XR Plus and the PIU are equipped with configurable internal 10/100mW radios to extend radio coverage, and can function as part of the communication network, using store and forward protocol.
This Piccolo XR series was designed to work in nearly all environments. With a selfcontained, secured enclosure structure, these units can be installed and ready to work with your IRRInet system in minutes.
Endowed with very low power requirements, the Piccolo XR Plus is a high-efficiency unit. This apparatus ships complete with a 6V/90mA solar panel, designed to prolong the battery’s lifespan, provide a stable energy source, and ensure reliable communications.

Self-Sufficient
The Cabinet Assembly System (CAS) is a Mottech enclosure with a built in solar panel and a strong integrated locking system to prevent vandalism and un-authorized access.
